About

Welcome to The Japan Periodical. We are an international and bilingual organization devoted to familiarizing society with the Japanese influence on global culture and society. Through articles, interviews, and experiences, we aim to spread a multifaceted understanding of Japanese culture from a political, economic, medical, historical, and artistic standpoint. The Japan Periodical has hubs at several institutions across the world, namely at Harvard University, Horace Mann School, and the American School in Japan.

Note: The named institutions are not formally affiliated with The Japan Periodical, nor do they endorse or fund TJP. They are simply the institutions with the highest numbers of affiliated writers, often maintaining their own structure, organization, and publication process.
